Top Books for Female Entrepreneurs to Read

Entrepreneurship

I’m a total book nerd. I love reading and learning from books for female entrepreneurs I feel so connected to the author and soak in everything they have to share.

I have a goal to read 50 books this year; a lofty goal but I can make it happen! I wanted to share the books I’ve read and recommend, books others have recommended to me, and a few fun books I love with you today. Hopefully, you find them valuable, too!

Books for Female Entrepreneurs

These are the books I’ve read and 100% recommend. They taught me so much about maintaining a positive mindset, practical tips for managing money, and how to connect with your audience.

EVERYTHING IS FIGUREOUTABLE BY MARIE FORLEO

Marie Forleo is one of the most popular names in marketing. In this book, she shares how a saying her mom used to tell her changed her entire mindset when it came to business: “Everything is figureoutable.” There is no problem you CAN’T solve; you just have to be creative in your solutions. This book helped to adjust my mindset when I was first starting my business. I figured things out on my own, made some mistakes, and learned from them.

INFLUENCE BY ROBERT CIALDINI

When you hear “how to influence people,” your mind goes to a negative connotation. But you may not realize your decisions are influenced by something or someone hundreds of times a day. This book opened my eyes to how you can use principles of influence for GOOD!

His principles for influence are:

  • Reciprocity
  • Commitment and consistency
  • Social proof
  • Authority
  • Liking
  • Scarcity
  • Unity

You’ll have to read the book to learn what they mean and how to use them in your marketing!

SMART WOMEN FINISH RICH BY DAVID BACH

I love learning how to manage my money more efficiently. I think good money management is how people get and stay wealthy. What I like about this book is it focuses on women. Many women in heterosexual relationships take the backseat when it comes to family finances. You shouldn’t! You should be completely aware of where your money is coming from and going. The book also gave simple, actionable tips for understanding your finances.

THE AUTOMATIC MILLIONAIRE BY DAVID BACH

I know finances aren’t the most fun thing to talk about, but they’re SO important to understand. The Automatic Millionaire makes learning about money fun (if you can believe it). The author explains concepts other people expect you to know and how to apply them to your financial situation.

GIRL, STOP APOLOGIZING BY RACHEL HOLLIS

Rachel Hollis has so much wisdom to share. Being a woman in business herself, she can relate to other female business owners’ struggles. This was another book that altered my mindset and taught me how to make a name for myself and come out from the shadows of excuses. It’s a book that will give you the confidence to believe in yourself.

On My Reading List

These are the books I haven’t gotten to yet but are on my to-read list, recommended by other amazing female business owners!

PROFIT FIRST BY MIKE MICHALOWICZ

I recently completed a financial coaching program with Val Marlene Creative, and her entire model is based on the Profit First method in this book. It was life-changing for me, and I want to dive deeper into it in the book!

ATOMIC HABITS BY JAMES CLEAR

I’ve seen this book recommended by so many entrepreneurs. I’d love to learn how to create more productive habits to maximize my energy, talents, and work-life balance.

MILLIONAIRE SUCCESS HABITS BY DEAN GRAZIOSI

I’ve attended a few virtual conferences with Dean Graziosi and Tony Robbins and have enjoyed their teachings. I’d like to read more about what he has to say about creating productive habits to grow your business in this book.

THE 4-HOUR WORK WEEK BY TIMOTHY FERRISS

Who doesn’t want to work less but make more?! Again, this is another book I’ve seen recommended by tons of female entrepreneurs. It’s about time I got to it!

UNFILTERED BY RACHEL PEDERSEN

I was in Rachel’s mentorship program while she launched this book, and I’m so excited to read it! She has so much knowledge to share about the world of marketing and entrepreneurship. From getting to know her for a year in the program, I know she’ll share mind-altering advice on building the business of your dreams.

BONUS: For Fun 🙂

In between reading books for female entrepreneurs and writing blog articles for clients, I love reading fiction books! Here are a few of my fiction favorites.

BOOK LOVERS BY EMILY HENRY

Emily Henry is a master at romantic novels. Every book I’ve read from her so far (Beach Read, People We Meet on Vacation, and Book Lovers) has me hooked right at the beginning. I usually cruise through them in 2-3 days!

THE GENDER GAME SERIES BY BELLA FORREST

I was first introduced to this series while road-tripping with my mom from Colorado to California. We listened to book one on the way there, and I was so obsessed (not to mention DYING to know what happens after the cliffhanger) that we bought the next one for the trip back. I read the rest of the five books in the series in a few months. I continued with Bella Forrest’s books in the Girl Who Dared To series. Again, obsessed. She creates a dynamic storyline in a futuristic world that draws you in immediately. If you’re a fan of Hunger Games and Divergent, this is the series for you.

THE HATING GAME BY SALLY THORNE

You may have seen this title on Hulu. I read the book first, and the movie is exactly the same! Which, as a book-lover, I loved. It’s a classic rom-com with a predictable ending but enjoyable middle.

THE VANISHING HALF BY BRIT BENNETT

This is a book that keeps you on your toes. When one twin decides to vanish and start a new life, the family never stops looking for her. Some 20 years later, they are reconnected in the most coincidental way. While I wasn’t a fan of the ending, the book was still worth the read.

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

This series is my current obsession. I’m a little late to the game, but I read both books within two weeks. The story sucked me in and I couldn’t put either of the books down. I can’t wait for the next book in the five book series and the TV show at some point!

There you have it! I hope I added some books for female entrepreneurs to your to-read list, and if you have any for me, DM me on Instagram! I’m always looking for book recs and would love to hear your favorites! Happy reading, friends ❤
