How often do you take time to reflect on your business growth and celebrate your wins? I hardly ever do. I get into my routine of doing client work and projects for my own business and forget to celebrate big and small accomplishments. This is an area I want to be more intentional about, starting today! I’m going to share my 2024 wins and my business goals for 2025.
Reflection on 2024
Writing this blog forced me to reflect on my business lol, but I’m so glad I did. I accomplished so much this year!
Relaunching my Business
2024 was a big year for my business. I relaunched my business with a new name, branding, website, and services in April (but really, it was in progress since December 2023!). It was a huge project that I’m so proud of! I outsourced the website design but wrote all the website copy, which was outside my comfort zone. Luckily, I learned how to do it in Site Series!
Record Blog Writing
I wrote over 225 blogs this year. That’s actually crazy to say. Again, you get so wrapped up in the day-to-day that you forget to celebrate how much you’ve done! And I typically write at least 1,000 words per blog, so that would be 225,000 words written this year 🤯
Consistency With Marketing
I’m so proud of myself for staying consistent with my marketing efforts this year. Once I knew I wanted to relaunch my business, I completely stopped marketing myself. I didn’t want to attract the wrong audience before I knew what my new audience would be!
However, once I launched, one of my business goals was to be aggressive in my marketing to see significantly steady growth. I started weekly emails and blogs and posting on Instagram five days a week. I was walking the walk in the things I preach to clients: the more high-quality content you post, the faster you’ll see results. It takes time to see results, but I’m so happy with these stats so far:
Email List Growth
I launched two freebies that align with my services (a change from my previous business!) and have helped grow my email list from 0 to over 60. Although my list has been slow to grow, it’s full of people in my target audience, and I even made one sale this year from it. I call that a win!
Guest Podcasting
I embraced change this year. To step out of my comfort zone, I did guest podcasting. I pitched podcasts to be a guest speaker and booked a few! I prefer to be behind the screen as an introvert, but I wanted to challenge myself. It was also a strategy to reach new audiences and build my backlink profile! Every interview I did was actually so fun. Meeting new people and sharing my knowledge with them and their listeners was great. I will be doing more of these in 2025!
Business Goals for 2025
Well, that was fun (for me at least!). Now, I want to share some business goals I have for 2025.
Posting More IG Stories
I got pretty good at consistently posting to my Instagram feed, but I’m not very good at Instagram stories. I really want to get better at this in 2025. I want to share more of my life on Instagram to connect with people. Whenever I post something personal on there, I get responses and start conversations with people. I LOVE that!
Building Out Resources
I’ve been working on providing more valuable resources for my audience this year. Check out the resources page Vineyard Creative Co. just designed for me! I would love to expand this page and create more freebies and resources in 2025. If you have any ideas of resources that would help you, send me a DM and let me know!
Email Subscribers
One of my business goals is to grow my email list to over 300 subscribers in 2025. I plan to do this by creating more free resources and valuable content. If you want to help me with that goal, you can subscribe here!
Earn a New Client From Search
Although I’m very happy with my increase in website traffic, one of my business goals is to increase it even more and earn a client from search. A lot of my clients come from referrals right now, which is great, but I want to reach and convert people who find me from search engines, too!
Do More Networking
Networking scares the crap outta me (again, introvert over here), but I also want to connect with more business owners, especially in the Denver area. I want to find groups and communities that offer support and partnership opportunities. Let me know if you know of any! I think it would be so fun, too, to go to a retreat or conference in 2025. I’ve been to a few before on behalf of a corporate company, but never as an entrepreneur. I think I would approach it differently and learn a lot from it!
Looking Forward to the New Year
Overall, I have a really positive outlook on 2025. I’m excited to continue serving my audience with new valuable resources and help clients grow their businesses with a website content strategy. But right now, at this moment, as I write my final blog of 2024, I’m ready for a dang break! Catch ya in the new year!
