What is Tailwind?

Tailwind is a scheduling platform for Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Tailwind recommends the best time to schedule content so I don’t have to think about it. 

I love that Tailwind allows me to batch create and schedule content. It saves me so much time in the content creation process.

The dashboard shows the content you have scheduled between all accounts tied to Tailwind. I like the visual overview of what’s coming up.

The insights dashboard shows an overview of how your profile and posts are performing. It’s not as in depth as the platform’s native analytics dashboard, but shows a pretty good summary.

How to Use Tailwind for Pinterest

I actually have a Pinterest manager who helps me with this workflow! I tried to do it on my own for a while, but couldn’t keep up with it. I decided it was best to outsource!

My Pinterest manager created several pin graphic templates in Canva, and she works off those. She creates pins based on my blog content and freebies. She writes the pin titles and descriptions, creates a graphic, adds a link to my website, and schedules the pin on Tailwind. All I do is stay consistent with my blog content, so she has a lot to work with! 

Pinterest is a lot to manage, but Tailwind makes it easier. It’s recommended to create 5-20 pins PER DAY. I can’t imagine logging into Pinterest and posting a pin 5-20 each day. Tailwind allows me (well, her) to schedule up to 200 pins per month, saving us both a ton of time!

How to Use Tailwind for Instagram

I’ve tried several social media scheduling platforms. I really only post on Instagram, so Tailwind works perfectly for me.

I batch create my Instagram graphics and captions in Airtable, so I have a record of everything I’ve created. Then, I schedule the posts in Tailwind. You can schedule static posts and carousels but not reels. And that’s okay! Data shows that reels created in the platform perform better.

I upload my graphic, copy and paste the caption, and choose a time to schedule it. It’s that easy!

Tailwind scans your website and identifies your blog posts. Then, using AI, it creates social posts for that blog post! This is a super quick way to create social graphics and captions. 

However, I’ve noticed that the graphics aren’t always on brand. Always review the content AI creates for you before publishing!
